The Alternatives to Violence Project celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. It was started by a group of Quakers in Greenhaven prison in New Your in 1974. Workshops are done over 3 days, totalling 18 hours.
Most workshops are done in the prisons. However, we have a rare opportunity to do a workshop in our Reno/Sparks community . Many who attend AVP workshops are surprised at the impactful experiences which are both serious and deeply moving and also great fun.
