A non-traditional approach to an ancient tradition. Whether you are just curious about Judaism, working towards conversion, or trying to remember everything you should have learned in religious school, this class is for you. This course is designed for learners at every level and all who are interested in learning are welcome.
During the course, we will learn about Jewish history, traditions, rituals, philosophy, and its big ideas. There is so much to learn that we will never get to all of it. Instead, I hope to give you the opportunity to begin to familiarize yourself with those big ideas and give you the courage and enthusiasm to learn more. Even if we had a lifetime to study, we would never get to all of it and this class, while it may feel at times like drinking from a firehose, is not intended to teach you everything you will ever need to know.
